We got the 7 am early ferry from Dover to Calais and drove all the way from Calais to Clermont Ferrand on the first day and stayed in a great campsite Camping Indigo Royat. A basic campsite with a play area for the children, tennis courts and swimming pool. The kids found it really exciting that we were sleeping on the side of a volcano. A great stopover campsite and the nearby spa town was charming.

After a lovely afternoon in Perpignan we decided to carry on to Spain and to our campsite in Palafrugel this was only a couple of hours from Pergignan.
